13 New LEGO Ideas Sets 2025 in Production

Until LEGO makes an official announcement, we cannot anticipate with any degree of accuracy which sets will be available for most LEGO themes. However, because the IDEAS theme is so distinctive, we frequently learn about new sets months or even years before they are available for purchase.

August Update

The LEGO IDEAS team revealed the findings of the third review round for 2023 on the evening of August 5. After passing the evaluation, "Italian Riviera" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" will formally begin production.

Consequently, two additional IDEAS sets are now in mass production, increasing the number of sets made to 12. Check out these and see if any of them are what you've been looking for!

LEGO Ideas Nightmare Before Christmas

Simon Scott's Nightmare Before Christmas set is one of the two winners from 2022's second review phase (the results were revealed on February 8, 2023).

We anticipate this being announced soon since the 21347 London Red Telephone Box, which passed the review alongside it, was released this February. Although there is currently no additional information available, there is a suggestion that it may formally debut in September 2025.

People had hoped that the set would be launched in 2023, the year that the Nightmare Before Christmas movie celebrated its 30th anniversary, but that now appears impossible.

LEGO Ideas Disney Magic

To commemorate Disney's 100th anniversary, the LEGO Group introduced a brand-new design competition on the IDEAS platform at the beginning of May 2023. The following official LEGO IDEAS set is anticipated to be the concept that wins this contest. Like the last "What Does Family Mean to You?" project, LEGO IDEAS and Target are working together on this.

Disney Magic by 2A2A, whose design honors the fantastical Disney universe, won the ultimate prize. It was the only entry among the finalists with mini-figures. What makes this piece appealing is its main component, a gigantic Sorcerer Mickey edifice around Disney movie props.

Although it has not yet been formally announced, there are rumors that this set, which will have 1,103 pieces, will be published in October 2025.

LEGO Idea Reading, Reading, Reading

To choose the newest GWP (Gift With Purchase) set for the IDEAS series, the LEGO IDEAS community held a challenge in June 2023 with a "Singles' Day" theme.

Polish fan designer FR_AN's winning design, Reading, Reading, Reading, is currently being produced as a GWP set. Nevertheless, comprehensive details regarding this GWP set are still pending.

LEGO Ideas Twilight Cullen House

Ten thousand votes favored seventy-one concepts during the first round of LEGO IDEAS in 2023. After a thorough review, the LEGO IDEAS team revealed the two designs they had chosen to become official sets on December 19, 2023.

Twilight: The Cullen House is one of these; it remarkably received 10,000 votes in a single day. The Friends series set 42639 Andrea's Luxury Mansion has a strikingly similar design.

The set is anticipated to be launched in 2025 because the design was only authorized in December 2023 and is still in the early phases of production.

LEGO Ideas Botanical Garden

Valentina Bima's Botanical Garden, which has now moved into production and will eventually be an official LEGO IDEAS set, is the other concept that made it through the evaluation process alongside Twilight: The Cullen House.

Unlike any official modular set released thus far, this is the first modular building design to pass the review.

Whether the IDEAS team will keep the typical sidewalk, streetlamp, and connection spots is still up in the air. These would at least help set 41757, Botanical Garden, stand out. This set will not be available until at least 2025.

LEGO Ideas Knowledge is Power

LEGO IDEAS and Target introduced a fantastic STEM construction challenge in November 2023. The findings, which were made public in March, showed that Danielbradleyy's Knowledge is Power set had been chosen as an official LEGO IDEAS kit.

This 528-piece design, which shares a style with the 40291 Creative Personalities set, includes a metropolis, satellite, space shuttle, robot, flowers, bees, and three minifigures representing several STEM fields.

LEGO Ideas Micro Rail Command Center

The LEGO® IDEAS community announced a Space Exploration-themed design contest in early January 2025, asking contestants to develop concepts for planetary bases or spacecraft.

One of the winning designs from the Space Exploration competition is the Miniature Orbital Command Center, the newest concept to go into production. Falkorich, a fan creator, created the design, which only comes in 150–250 pieces. This kit is being produced and will eventually be made available as an insider reward set or a LEGO GWP (Gift With Purchase) set.

LEGO Ideas Lunar Rover

Similar to the Miniature Orbital Command Center, this Lunar Rover is among the top-placed designs from the competition with a Space Exploration theme. EnchantingNoodle, a fan creator, created the design in 150–250 pieces. This kit will be offered as an insider reward or a LEGO GWP (Gift With Purchase) set.

LEGO Idea Gachapon Machine

The LEGO IDEAS platform revealed the findings of the second evaluation phase for 2023 on May 2. Out of 49 designs submitted, two—the Minifigure Gacha Machine and the West River Steamboat—were chosen to become official LEGO IDEAS sets.

Goosestore, a Belgian educator, designed the non-IP Minifigure Gacha Machine. He created this vibrant gacha machine, which is intended to hold and showcase unique LEGO minifigures, by fusing a classic gumball machine with a capsule toy machine. The LEGO IDEAS platform also started a fan vote for minifigures; did you cast your ballot for your favorite?

LEGO Idea West River Steamboat

After passing the review with the Minifigure Gacha Machine, the West River Steamboat set is now in production and will eventually be an official LEGO IDEAS kit. Official designers will adjust the final set so it cannot appear precisely like the picture you see, but if it does, it will stand out in the IDEAS theme.

Aaron (username CTDpower) from St. Louis, Missouri, USA, made this design. The model shows a steamboat with four levels: the engine room and paddle wheel are on the bottom layer, the passenger cabins are on the second tier, a working deck with a terrace is on the third layer, and the pilothouse is on the top.

LEGO Idea The Autumn Snail

The LEGO IDEAS team revealed the "Build Your Dream Gift With Purchase" competition winner on May 16. With 806 votes, Jagamax's Autumn Snails won first prize and will soon go into production, making it an official LEGO IDEAS GWP set.

This design employs 250 pieces and has a building style reminiscent of the 21342 Insects series. In addition to a setting with a log, a tiny rock, a pool of water, and some green plants, it mainly features two brick-built snails with spiral shells. The snails' slime trails are visible in the scene.

LEGO Ideas The Italian Riviera

Imagine living in this stunning location, with the seagulls soaring, the sun beaming, the beach stretching out, and the waves crashing. With whom would you most like to share this perspective? Fan designer Galaxy333, 18-year-old Alex Sahli from Oregon, USA, uploaded this design to the IDEAS platform.

The about 3,000-piece design cleared the assessment in the third round of 2023, which was just announced. Officially, production has begun.

LEGO Ideas Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

2PPL (Roberto Cerruti and Jody Padulano) co-designed the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory model, which was released on their joint IDEAS account, 2PPL. Perseverance pays off, as evidenced by the 10,000 votes this design received on its second submission.

The model recreates the fanciful confectionery interior of the chocolate factory using around 3,000 LEGO pieces and eight minifigures representing the movie's protagonists. Remembering that the model is based on the 1971 movie rather than Tim Burton's 2005 adaptation is crucial.
