5 LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 3 Sets Crowdfunding(Sept. Update)
The crowdfunding for LEGO's BrickLink Designer Program Series 3 will begin in a little over a month. Here is a sneak peek at the five sets—Harbormaster's Office, The Art of Chocolate, Forest Stronghold, Camping Adventure, and Lost City—along with their essential information.
The LEGO BrickLink Series 5 finalists were revealed last week, while the Series 2 crowdfunding campaign concluded with more than 30,000 pre-orders for the Brick Cross Train Station and Mushroom House. Which sets will be purchased when Series 3's crowdfunding draws near?
Crowdfunding Begins on October 8th
On October 8th at 8 AM Pacific Time, the BrickLink Designer Program Series 3 crowdfunding will formally begin.
For each set to go into production, the crowdfunding campaign must receive at least 3,000 pre-orders during the presale period. Each of the five finalist sets in the first and second series exceeded the 3,000-unit threshold. Because each model can only be produced in a run of 30,000 pieces, placing orders fast for popular sets can be necessary.
With a maximum of two sets per customer, the successful sets from Series 3 are anticipated to be delivered in March 2025.
Fans can submit models to the BrickLink Designer Program, and the public votes to choose five finalists. The submitted models must meet strict part colour and stability specifications to guarantee that no significant design changes are required before production.
Comprehensive Comparison of the BrickLink Designer Program
We may compare the Series 3 sets' officially disclosed costs with the information from earlier rounds. The average price in this round is still less than in Series 1, even though it isn't as low as in the first round of the 2021 BrickLink Designer Program Invitational. Although each item's cost has dropped, the average price remains higher than in Series 2.
Two models in this round satisfy the component count requirement based on an average of 2,500 pieces per set. Only 669 pieces make up the "Camping Adventure" set, which is significantly fewer than the previous three. Nevertheless, its $54.99 price tag might get a lot of support from fans. The distinctive designs for which BrickLink is renowned are displayed in the other two larger sets in this round, each surpassing the benchmark by roughly 1,000 pieces.
Camping Adventure
It is simple to remove the camper from the bigger screen. The external features include a laundry rack, a tap, an A/C unit, an opening door, and an awning. Explore the camper's kitchen with a stove, sink, and utensils; rest comfortably on the bed and use the storage area!
The remaining portion of the scene features a bike, extra wood, a camping chair, various autumn plants and greenery, and animals, including butterflies, a bird, and a squirrel.
The delightful camper in the Camping Adventure set, complete with an awning, air conditioning, and a comfortable kitchen, wonderfully embodies the splendour of an autumn camping vacation. It's a fantastic build, with colourful plants, animals, and outdoor equipment bringing the area to life.

Forest Stronghold
An abandoned castle is located deep within the Ogel forest. That's what the local kingdoms thought, anyway! The Forestmen don't mind that trees have started to grow around the old building and that cracks have started to show.
This set, consisting of 3,395 finely carved pieces, exquisitely captures the appeal of an old castle that has been overrun by nature but regained by the brave Forestmen. This collection, which includes 12 meticulous minifigures without stickers, highlights the complex architecture of the abandoned fortress by guaranteeing that every detail is brick-built.
